Chronicling the daily antics with our little boy, Sean Patrick. You are our little Irish lad because Daddy is really proud of his Irish heritage and wants to pass this on to you. Your middle name, Patrick is a family name which is the middle name of Uncle Danny.

Christmas 2009
Most of the morning was on video, so I just grabbed one quick pic for the blog. Sean had a blast and then we went to Picayune to visit Uncle Bubba and the rest of the family. Sean also got to ride on the 4-wheeler with Uncle Bubba.

Christmas Eve 2009
what a cutie!!
We went to our usual vigil Mass and then came back to our house where all of our family gathered to eat and exchange gifts. We toasted Uncle Danny who was with us just last year.
We also went outside where Sean emptied his reindeer food on the lawn and then we got into our pj's and left milk and cookies for Santa!

Christmas Party At MDO
Sean's school had a Christmas party themed after the "Polar Express". Sean had to wear pjs to school and his class did the reindeer hokey pokey. Miss Vida read the "Polar Express" and then the kids sang "Happy Birthday to Jesus". Afterwards, we went back to their classrooms where they passed out gifts to their friends.

Henry The Elf
I decided to buy the "Elf on the Shelf" book for Sean this year in hopes of curbing his tantrums, etc. Well, it has worked to some degree, but he has already figured out that Santa will be giving him some presents.
I read him the story and he named the elf, Henry. We also have 2 hermit crabs named Henry. One evening, I fussed at him for getting into our closet (something he knows not to do) and I sent him into the den. I heard him telling Henry to tell Santa that he was being good :).

Dear Santa
I asked Sean what he wanted from Santa and this is what he recited to me:
A big tractor
A big tractor book
A big dirt bike
He stood up and gestured "big" with his hands. He has also wanted everything on every commercial that he has seen!

Maw Maw's Birthday
Today Maw Maw turned 66 yrs young and we celebrated with cake and ice cream at Nanny's house. Sean, Abby and Ashley each took a turn at putting some candles on the cake and then all sang "Happy Birthday".
The weather was getting pretty bad (temp was 36 and it was raining), so we headed home early and had a weather surprise a few hours later! To be continued :)
Snow!!!!!!!!!!
my car
flower bed
Yes, it snowed for the 2nd year at our house! Unfortunately, Sean was sleeping. I called Kenny because he was working a detail and we discussed it and decided to let him sleep since it was after 10 and he had a bad cough. I went out and took tons of pictures, though. I even dug up some snow and put in the freezer for Sean.

Sean's Favorite Things
I thought that Sean might enjoy reading what he liked when he was 4.
Okay, you love trucks, monster trucks, dirt bikes, 4 wheelers, vanilla ice cream, white cake, loves to play, very friendly with strangers :(. Here's an example of being nice to strangers....we were riding in the car and you asked me to open the window so that you could wave to the man cutting the grass along the side of the road. You wanted to ask him to come over to our house to play! LOL
Your favorite saying is "in a little while". When we tell you that you can't do something right now, you'll say, "I can do it in a little while". You stand your ground in an argument with people and dig your heels in.
You can't wait to be an even bigger boy! You asked me the other day if you were still 4. You said that you wanted to be 6. Don't be in a rush to grow up, sweetie. 4 is fun. You told me the other night that you are happy to be 4. So cute.

Lightening McQueen Party
run, run, run
Sean chose the "Cars" theme for his 4th birthday party. We had the party the day after his actual birthday. It was at a gymnastics arena and I decorated the party room with piston cups, racing flags and of course, his Lightening McQueen cake. Sean and his friends had a lot of fun! Here are a few pics. Most of the party is on video b/c he was in constant motion. I'm glad you had fun, baby!

Baby, You're 4!!!
opening a gift early in the am
Today, my little boy turned 4. He woke up this am and I told him happy birthday and he said, "I'm 4, now?" Yes, baby boy you are 4! You had a great day. Mommy and Daddy got you one of the Leapfrog computer toys that you wanted and then, Maw Maw and Dukie came over with your battery operated police car! We went to eat at Mi Patio where you had your usual chicken strips and fries and then we went to see Maw Maw and Dukie's new house. You had fun running around the big empty house. Afterwards, we came back home where you drove your police car up and down the street and around the big loop. You loved it so much that you cried when we had to come inside because it was becoming dark. Tomorrow, is your Lightening McQueen party!
I love you, my sweet angel. You are mommy and daddy's miracle and we thank God every day for you. You are so excited to be a big boy! I know that you are going to have a great 4th year!
Love,
Mommy

Yes, It's Fall
Sean has been hearing about Fall on the tv station, Noggin, which airs his favorite cartoons. He has been asking me when it will be Fall. He knows that Fall involves leaves and colder weather. We finally had some leaves change colors and a little nip in the air, so we went outside to pick some leaves. This lasted about 5 min. because he noticed some toys to play with. I did manage to get a few pictures. Yes, Sean it's now Fall.

Mr. Personality
Today I took Sean to get a haircut. He made all of us laugh. He was sitting in the fire engine and noticed that bell was broken (nothing gets by him) and he asked the stylist if she was going to fix it. He, then, told her that she needs to go to the store to get a new one. She asked him what store and Sean replied, "Target" (he knows Target has toys). She then asked if he had any brothers and sisters and he said, "yes, Peyton and Mason (his best friends).

More Funny Sayings
We were in K-Mart and Sean said, "this is just like Wal-Mart", yes he knows his stores. When we got inside, he said that this is where he took his pictures. That was a year ago. I told him that he was very smart and he replied, "yes, I am".
I saw Sean doing some strange stretching and I asked what he was doing. He said, "I'm stretching to make me tall, so that I can drive your car when I get big".

Monster Mash
For the last 3 yrs, we have taken Sean to the Monster Mash in Covington. He has reached the age where he can enjoy playing the games at the booths. We all had a really great time. Afterwards, Sean went to spend the night with Maw Maw and Dukie while Kenny and I went with his new employer to the LSU game.
