This morning we had a playdate with the MOMS club. It was with Luke, Olivia and Mason. Sean had fun playing with different tractors. There were some times when he didn't want to share, but all in all he had a good time. We found out that Mason will be going to a different MDO this year which made me sad, as Kimberly is a good friend and we may not be seeing each other as much and Sean really likes Mason.
Sean also surprised me by eating a lemon muffin! It is the first time my child has ever eaten a bread product!! I'm going out to buy a lot of them.
We spent the night at Maw Maw and Dukie's, as I had to get up early and work in Maw Maw's flower bed. I think Sean's days of sleepover might be numbered because he has cried for me the last 2 times and even though I was sleeping with him, he kept saying that he wanted us to go home.
Chronicling the daily antics with our little boy, Sean Patrick. You are our little Irish lad because Daddy is really proud of his Irish heritage and wants to pass this on to you. Your middle name, Patrick is a family name which is the middle name of Uncle Danny.

Lego Fun
I'm still battling this funky cold, but managed to bring Sean to a playdate at Mason's house. Remember how well the sharing went yesterday? Not, today. Everything Mason had, Sean wanted and vice versa. Kimberly and I spent most of the morning pulling them apart from hitting each other because they were caught up in a Thomas the Train frenzy!
After a much needed nap, I decided to move around the furniture in Sean's room. I have no idea why, but I get in moods where I just need some change. I've decided to stick with the sports theme, but am going to change the bedding and add some new things.
While I was moving his furniture, Sean found some legos in his closet and actually occupied himself for a good while building. He was so proud of his work!

Water and Bouncing
This morning Sean and I met are friends, Kimberly and Mason at the Trailhead to let the boys play in the water spouts. I don't think that Sean even got wet. The boys were more interested in filling their cups with water and then running with them and dumping the water on the ground. They also found an old ball and made their way (with me and Kimberly in tow) to the stage where they climbed up and then we made them take turns throwing the ball to us. Kimberly and were exhausted from chasing them, so we soon lured them out to our cars. On the way, Sean and Mason were walking and holding hands. I wish that I had my camera out.
Sean was pretty tired and took a nap right away. After his nap, I got out his bounce house which he played in for about 10 min total.
I'm hoping that all of this has made my little guy tired and we will finally have an early bedtime.

Playdate at the Park
This morning, Sean sat by me as I drank my coffee and said, "mommy, do eye kisses". He hasn't asked for this in awhile. He calls them "eye kisses", but it is when Kenny or I blink our lashes against his face. He laughs and laughs.
We headed off to the park to meet Mason, Peyton, Kate and Maggie. Sean got to ride in his new big boy booster seat. He loved it.
Sean had fun at the park, but was most excited that after the park, he would get to ride in Nanny's car. He loves riding in people's cars. Nanny needed me and Sean to sit in her car with Ashley while she ran into Abita to drop off some things for Uncle Joey's surprise party tomorrow night.
When, we got home, he fell asleep right away and I had to wake him up, so he would sleep tonight. After this, we went shopping because I needed some clothes. When, we came home, he watched me try them on and said, "mommy, that's so cute". I laughed because after I dress him, I tell him to let me look at him and I tell him how cute he looks. Here are some pics from the park.

Dinosaurs Go "Roar"
I can some up this blog with "long lines, tired kids and tired mommies", but that wouldn't make for good reading, so here it goes.
Today was a beautiful day! Sean and I left the house earlier then usual to bring Kenny something to his office that he had forgotten and then we headed to our friends' house, Kimberly and Mason to ride with them to the zoo. Sean was so excited to see Mason that he had been talking about it all last night. Mason's 2 cousins joined us and let Sean listen to their MP3 player in the car. It was so cute! He loves music and had the little earpiece in his ear. On the way there, the boys pointed out all of the "big trucks" that they saw on the road.
When, I planned this, I didn't know that a movie was being filmed at the zoo and I forgot that it was spring break. It seemed like every child under 12 was at the zoo. We waited in long lines for admission and for lunch which made everyone grumpy. However, once we got to the Dinosaur exhibit, Sean was in seventh heaven. He loves them! He was one for Halloween and walks around the house saying, "roar". He went up to the dinosaurs and "roared" back at them and smiled to them. At the gift shop, he picked out a stuffed dinosaur to sleep with. He also loved the sea lions and alligators.
I also think he has a crush on Kimberly, Mason's mommy. He wouldn't hold my hand, only hers and kept asking, "where's Miss Kimberee?" over and over. It was so sweet!
We didn't get home until 4:30 which meant no nap and we had been gone all day. Sean was exhausted and fell asleep at 7pm tonight. I only hope that he sleeps through the night. I'm sure tomorrow, we'll be talking about the dinosaurs and "roaring" all day long!

Being 3 is Hard
Well, Sean had school today and it wasn't one of his better days. Miss Christy said that Sean hit Mason (his bf) and made his little scrunched up mad face at her. He refused to say he was sorry, but tells me that he will say he's "vewy sorry" on Thurs., so that he can get his carwash as a reward!
He was worn out after school, so I let him take a 2 hour nap which means he'll probably be up late tonight. We had to bring Kenny his insulin since he will be working all night on a big case and then, I decided to go to the grocery store. This was not a good idea with the mood that Sean has been in today. There was a lot of kicking the cart and telling me "no". Then, for some reason he cried all the way home.
One bright spot for Sean was that Daddy had some belated gifts in the car from MeMe (Sean's godmother). Sean opened one and it was a huge canister of Play-Doh and cookie cutters, etc. to use when he plays with it. He liked this a lot and it kept him busy.
One bright spot for me was on the way home. After he finished the unexplained crying, a song came on the radio. You guessed it...another Britney Spears song. He asked me to turn it up and I listened to him sing to it. He actually hummed along and said some jibberish. I think he likes the beat of the music. Do I have a future rockstar on my hands? Tomorrow, is another day and things can only get better :).
