Here Comes Peter Cottontail....

Today was Easter Sunday and Sean slept until 8am!! After we all woke up, we went out to the den to see what the Easter Bunny had left for Sean. He looked at his basket and said, "wow". I wished I had gotten it on video. The bunny left Sean a lot of candy, some moon sand and a "big ambulance"(this is what Sean asked the bunny for, specifically). Sean's favorite thing was actually an Easter egg that was filled with a Hot Wheels car. After having some jelly beans for breakfast....I know, but it is a holiday, we got dressed up and went to Mass. Sean did pretty well for sitting or should I say crawling and laying on the floor through a 45 min. Mass. Kenny was really proud of him, because they usually have to go take a walk, because Sean likes to talk during the Mass.

Afterwards, we came home and changed and went to Nanny and Uncle Joey's house for lunch. Kenny and I ate a lot and Sean, as usual, just ate a little. Maw Maw and Dukie were there and had an Easter basket for Sean and Nanny had a basket for him, too. Sean told me tonight, that he needs to tell the Easter Bunny "thank you". He's so cute! He also asked me where Santa lives and I told him the North Pole where it's very cold. Then, he said, "what about the bunny?" I had to ponder this one and then I came up with in a carrot patch. That seemed to satisfy my curious little one!

A Britney Spears Fan??

The finished product
Is it green, yet?

I'm not quite sure what to make of this

Sean had a rough night sleep last night, so I needed much coffee today! Sean woke up and immediately wanted to go get a carwash...his favorite thing. I said that we would do it later. Then, he wanted to paint. I told him, after I had some coffee. He held his paintbrush and kept looking at my coffee mug to see if I was finished. Once my eyes, were fully opened, I got out the watercolors. Sean had more fun painting the table than his watercolor book.
Sean's godfather and uncle's birthday is tomorrow and his friends are having a crawfish boil in his honor on Sat. Uncle Danny passed away in Jan. Sean doesn't understand at all. We've explained angels and Heaven to some extent, but he told me this morning that Uncle Danny is at the doctors office. So, we headed to the bookstore to look for a children's book dealing with loss. A strange thing has been happening when we listen to the radio in the car. Whenever, a Britney song comes on he says, "turn it up please, Mommy". I'm usually getting ready to switch the station. He only asks me to turn up the radio when her songs are on. It's really strange. We need to go back to the dvds in the car!
I couldn't find a book for his age at the bookstore, so we are just going to keep telling him when he asks that Uncle Danny is an angel and leave at that for now.
Sean did take a nap today!! Yeah!! His mood was much better this afternoon. When he woke up, we went to ride his bike. Along the way, he saw an "ant pilt" and asked me what their names were! He's so cute and curious!
When, Kenny got home, we dyed Easter eggs for the first time. Only one egg was broken and there was no huge mess, so all in all it was a success!
