Halloween

he couldn't wait to ride in the wagon

he was holding a glow in the dark ring

the whole crew...he's the only boy

Sean had a great time trick-or-treating this year. As usual, we went to Nanny's and went door to door with Abby and Ashley. Sean, your great grandpa would have been so proud because you were dressed as a firefighter just like him.

whack a frog?

he got a lot of trick or treat practice

For the last 3 yrs, we have taken Sean to the Monster Mash in Covington. He has reached the age where he can enjoy playing the games at the booths. We all had a really great time. Afterwards, Sean went to spend the night with Maw Maw and Dukie while Kenny and I went with his new employer to the LSU game.

Trunk-Or-Treat

he's a pro now at trick or treating

taking a cookie break

so cute!

our trunk

This afternoon, Sean and I decorated our trunk and met some of my "mommy friends" for some trick or treating. He had a great time. Sean does not know a stranger. He went up to a little girl and asked her to hold hands. If a baby was crying, he'd go over and ask "why". He is so funny and cute.

Aaron's 4th Birthday Party

his favorite toy at Aaron's house

stylin'

After the day at the park, we went to celebrate Aaron's birthday. It was monster truck themed, so Sean of course, was wearing his new shirt. He had the most fun playing in the rocks with Aaron's huge dump truck. After this very long day, we came home for a very long nap!

JPSO Day At The Park

vroom!!
rready for take off

proud daddy

Today we went to the park to see Kenny so that Sean could see all kinds of police vehicles, etc. Sean loved it! He got to sit on a motorcycle, turn on a siren, sit on a helicopter and watch the copter fly, and sit on the boat that Kenny rides. He was adorable when he saw the K-9 unit. The dogs were in a cage in a police car and he said, "mommy, those puppies must be sad b/c they're going to jail".

Loving Fall

I love this one!
I think Daddy will have his work cut out for him this year..we got a big one!

We finally had some cool weather, so I put Sean in some long sleeves and long pants. When we went outside, he said, "it sure is chilly" and then asked if we could put on the fireplace. We headed over to the Farmers Market to get our pumpkin to carve. Daddy will be carving in the next week. I just love getting pics of him with pumpkins every year.

Funny Sayings

Here are a few things that Sean has said over the last couple of days....

"Awesome"...He must have heard this at school, because I don't think that Kenny or I have ever said this.

"That's cool"...I must admit that he got this from me.

"Look, mommy, it's the new and late intention"...translation "it's the newest and latest invention". He was holding up a toy to show me as he said this.

My Little Bad Guy?

Sean is completely enthralled by Kenny's police work. He watches Kenny dress in his uniform and helps him snap buttons and put on his boots. He also knows all about handcuffs. Last night, Sean wanted to call Kenny while he was on patrol. When we called, Kenny couldn't talk b/c he was either making an arrest or a traffic stop. I made the mistake of telling this to Sean and his mind went into overdrive and of course, this was at bedtime. He became very excited and asked if he could see a jail! In the morning, he woke up Kenny and asked him if he took some bad guys to jail and if he put on handcuffs.

We were running late for MDO and I noticed Sean carrying some toy cuffs, but didn't think anything of it. Half way to school, I looked in the mirror and saw Sean watching his Scooby Doo dvd while in handcuffs! I laughed, but then became concerned that I might not be able to get them off. Fortunately, I got them off before the car line at school. Sean, you make us laugh!

Grandpa and Great-Grandpa Pique

Sean,

Today are the birthdays of my daddy and his daddy. I am always a little sad because I miss them, but I know that they are both in Heaven watching over us. I wish they could hold and kiss you now, but I know that they held and kissed your soul in Heaven before you born. Now, they are watching you play with your trucks, splashing in puddles and trying to catch lizards. I know that they are very proud of you, for you are their only grandson and great-grandson and because you are so very special.

Love,

Mommy

Ashley's 2nd Birthday Party

the birthday girl

having fun

tractor ride

Cousin Ashley's party was today at a local farm. Sean and Ashley had fun chasing a goat and feeding all of the animals. Abby was a little skittish of the animals. They also got to ride a tractor and eat yummy Dora the Explorer birthday cake. Tonight, Sean told me that he had fun with his cousin Ashley. I was impressed that he used the word "cousin". He explained to me that Abby was Ashley's sister and that they were his cousins.

Day With Maw Maw and Dukie

On this very rainy day, Sean and I met Maw Maw and Dukie at a tile store to help pick out new flooring for their new house. Sean tested the floors by driving his toy cement truck on them. Then, we headed to Sean and Maw Maw's doughnut shop (they go there together on some Sundays while I'm at RCIA). They were out of glazed doughnuts (the only kind that Sean will eat), so we found some at our local bakery. After breakfast, we went to the new house and Sean got to run around and play while we talked to the contractor. Sean had a great time!

Henry Two

picking out Henry Two
their new home

Aerial view of Daddy's handy work

Kenny and I took Sean to the pet store to pick out his new hermit crab which he aptly named "Henry Two". Sean also got to see different pets there, as well. Daddy decorated the new aquarium and now we think that Hermie and Henry Two are happy in their new home.

Yeah, For Daddy!

Today, we found out that Kenny got his new job! Sean and I are so proud of Daddy. Kenny will be working in a larger, national company with room for growth. We are so blessed.

Chomp!

I had to laugh when I read Sean' progress report from MDO today. It said that he had been bitten by a lizard! Apparently, there was a lizard on the wall in his classroom and before Miss Christy could catch it, Sean (she called him Steve Erwin because she said he acted like the crocodile hunter) grabbed the lizard and the room fell quiet. Then, the lizard did a 180, bit Sean and fell to the ground. She said that Sean had one tear fall. I checked his finger and I couldn't find a bite mark and he told me that he didn't cry at all. I've said it before and I'll say it again, my little boy is fearless!

We Will Miss Henry

When I saw Henry's tank this am, I saw that he was out of his shell and I couldn't get him to move. Kenny checked and sadly Henry the hermit crab passed away. Sean had recently made a comment that our dog, Onyx, would come back home after she was finished playing with the angels. We told him that now Henry was with the angels. He was upset and asked if we could get Henry some medicine. It was heartbreaking. Now, we'll be getting him another hermit crab, but will always remember Henry.

Happy Birthday, Peyton

Elizabeth and Sean (no pics, please)
Sean's best buddy at MDO is Peyton. Sean started a love for dirt bikes as a result of his friendship with Peyton. Peyton had a dirt bike birthday party! Sean wanted so badly to play in Peyton's room, but finally realized that the party was outside. He got to play on the swing set, jump in the bounce house and eat vanilla ice cream. The cake was chocolate, so he passed on that. He had a lot of fun playing with all of his classmates.

Day With Daddy

I went to help Dukie clean one of his rental properties and Kenny had taken a vacation day, so Sean and Daddy got to spend the whole day playing together. This worked out great because Kenny has missed Sean due to his working so much and Sean misses him, as well. Sean told me that the had a lot of fun with Daddy.
