Sean and I ran errands for most of the day (not much fun for either one of us), but after his nap, we went to Nanny's house. Sean got to ride in Abby's hot pink Barbie jeep! He was loving it and he picked up the driving pretty quickly. He steered really well. Now, he just needs to practice reverse and he's ready for the sidewalks!
Every night, I ask him if he's had fun during the day and he said yes. Then, without missing a beat he said, "what did I do today"! I had a good laugh and gave him lots of hugs.
Chronicling the daily antics with our little boy, Sean Patrick. You are our little Irish lad because Daddy is really proud of his Irish heritage and wants to pass this on to you. Your middle name, Patrick is a family name which is the middle name of Uncle Danny.

Cute Phone Call
Sean is liking to talk on the phone more and more and now walks off with the phone to talk. Unfortunately, he is still wanting to talk when I am talking. I talked to Nanny for a little bit and then we put Abby and Sean on the speaker phone with each other. Sean told Abby that he was going fishing. Abby asked Sean to come over to play dress up and Sean told her that he was already dressed!! I laughed so hard at that one. Then, Abby invited us over to dinner (it was 5pm). I got back on the phone with Nanny and told her that we wouldn't be coming over so late, especially since she wasn't planning on having people over for dinner. Don't you love it when kids do that? Sean also said that he was going to catch a dolphin with his Daddy! That's a tall order. I think he'll be happy if he catches any kind of fish.

Fun With Cousins
Sean and I spent most of the day over at Nanny's house. Maw Maw was there, too. Sean got to play with Abby who is 4. Abby is just as strong willed as Sean, so playtime is always interesting! Abby had a play wedding veil and put it on and asked Sean to marry her. Then, she said that I had to leave her room, so they could make there big entrance. She came out in her veil wearing her Ariel bathing suit, too, holding hands with Sean. It was so cute and Sean had no idea what was going on. All he wanted to do was to ride her Barbie jeep. Abby is skilled at driving forward and reverse, so she showed Sean how to do it. I took some pics with my cell phone and am praying that they come out. They looked so cute.
Maw Maw was hot, so we headed to the local ice crean/sno-ball stand. Abby and Sean both got rainbow ice cream and were covered in the blue ice cream. Blue teeth, blue clothes, etc. Sean didn't want to come home, but I could tell that he and Maw Maw were both ready for a nap. Kenny is napping, too. I guess there all getting rested to watch LSU baseball tonight!!
I'm waiting for Kenny to send me some pics that I took, so I'll add those later.

Abby's 1st Recital and a Movie with Sean
Sean was full with random saying and questions, as usual, when he woke up this morning. He told me that Abby was going to dance today and I told him, "yes". He told me that his hair needs cut again because "the lady didn't get it all". He remembers from another day, when I told him that. I love each morning waiting to hear what he has to tell me.
Sean did great at Abby's recital. Kenny and I were very proud that he sat still on our laps for about an hour. He clapped at the end of each song. Abby did great, too! Kenny and I were proud godparents!!
Sean and Kenny left after her second dance, so they could both nap (Kenny worked very late last night) and I went with Maw Maw and Dukie to visit with Abby and give her some presents.
We had never finished Wall-E and Sean wanted to watch it, so we popped some popcorn and watched the rest of the movie. It felt so good to curl up next to my little boy and answer his questions and watch his reactions. He is a great movie partner :)
Sean was so good at the recital that Kenny let him turn the lights on his police car before he left for work tonight. Sean loved it!
Sean and I just came from playing outside and I'm now getting ready to read him a story.

Roll, Run, Jump!
This morning as soon as we got up, Sean said, "what are we doing?" and I laughed and called Kenny to tell him what he had said. He is so used to us being on the go. I promised him that we would go outside and play. We put the big boy underwear on and headed for the backyard. There were a couple of yellow flowers growing and Sean picked some for me! He said, "I need to pick em before the bees eat them". I marvel at the things that he says. We played with bubbles and since there was no pee pee accident, we went to the potty were Sean informed me that his "pee pee wasn't working". He is the funniest person I know!
I put a pull up back on him because we were headed out to cousin Abby's 4th birthday party at Northshore Gymnastics. Sean got to jump and roll and swing into a huge vat of foam. He loved it! He was the child with the most energy. The teacher couldn't keep up with him which gave me an indication of what probably goes on at school. He liked his cake but was disappointed that there was no ice cream. After the party, we went over to Abby's to watch her open her gifts. Sean wanted to open them, too, and Abby was nice enough to let him help her.
Then, it was movie night for Sean. He picked out Wall-E and asked about 100 questions. It was cute. Kenny and I kept smiling at each other as he asked us what the robot was doing now. We all fell asleep before the movie ended, so we need to re watch it! It was a nice family day and evening.

Egg Hunt, Ant Bites and Cousins
Sean woke up in the middle of the night crying, "mommy, mommy", so I cuddled with him for a good bit before he fell asleep, again. In the morning, I got to sleep in (thank you, Kenny!) to catch up on some sleep. Kenny went to work and Sean and I got ready for an Easter egg hunt at his school.
The school divided the "hunt areas" according to age which was a brilliant idea! Sean started picking up his eggs right away, but then, discovered an egg that had been opened and had jelly beans in it. Immediately, he stopped hunting for eggs and ate those jelly beans! He's loves candy just like his mommy! He looked for some more eggs with coaxing from me, but then went back to the jelly beans. (Note to self..buy some jelly beans, as this could be a great bribery tool for eating dinner, sharing, etc).
After the egg hunt, Sean was tired, so he napped and I uploaded a bunch of pictures. Then, I decided to cut the front yard. Sean loved this! He helped me push the mower and got out his toy mower and mowed the lawn with me. During this, I stepped in an "ant pilt", as Sean would say and I did very well not to let any bad words slip out!
After cooling down, we got in the car to do one of our favorite Sunday afternoon things..take a drive. We drove by Nanny's house and much to Sean's delight, his cousins, Abby and Ashley and Uncle Joey were outside playing. Sean rode Abby's scooter and had a great time. We stayed for dinner and then headed back out to play some more. There was a small meltdown, because he didn't want to leave, but we made it back to the car. On the way home, Sean said,"mommy, the sun's going down". I told him, yes it was and how smart he was. We enjoyed a nice ride home trying to find the sun "hiding b'ind those trees"! He's so talkative and cute!

A Day of Play
We were in a bit of a rush this morning to make a playdate here in town. Sean was very sassy this morning. I caught him trying to climb the refrigerator and when I told him to get down, he told me "no" and then to "stop it" when I put him in time out. After this, we finally left. Of course, it started to rain when we got into the car and Sean always wants to ride his bike before we go somewhere. I had to talk him out of that, so we could head over to Josh's house.
Sean is in the "mine" phase, so the entire playdate while he was playing with Josh's toys, all I heard from him was "mine, mine". I will be so glad when this phase is over! He did tell me that he had fun which I'm sure he did since he was the one with all of the toys!
We then headed over to Chick-Fil-A to meet Nanny (my sister) and Sean's cousins, Abby and Ashley for lunch. Sean was so good and I made sure to praise him. He ate a little bit and then we went into the play area and he had a ball climbing into the tunnel and then going down the slide. A meltdown was averted by Nanny. When it was time to go, Sean was ready to throw himself on the floor, but Nanny saved the day, by stepping in and putting his shoes on (they have to take them off in the play area).
I tried to get Sean to nap, but it is hit or miss and today was a miss. After trying to get him to rest, we went to ride his bike and to look at the new house that is being built. He got to see a "big truck", so he was happy. So, with no naptime, this was a very, very long day!
