"Do You Wanna Play With Me?"

Today, Sean and I pretty much had a lazy day, except for all of the errands that we had to complete. I had promised Sean a carwash since he loves them, so this was on our list.

I took Sean with me to the Goodwill drop off and told him that it is nice to give to other people. He didn't really understand and was upset that I was giving away his shoes that don't fit him anymore. I kept telling him that he would be getting a carwash with mommy soon, and that made the errand running better for him. We went to the store to buy Kenny some more clothes. I told Sean that Daddy works so hard so that we can have so many nice things, that we are buying Daddy some things that he doesn't have time to get for himself. He didn't really understand that either. Finally, we went to the carwash. He was in awe. He loves watching all of the brushes and the soap on the windows.

After Sean's nap, he asked me, "do you wanna play with me, mommy?" Who could refuse that? I sat in the playroom with him and we played cars and trucks, which is basically ramming them into each other while saying "vroom, vroom". Then, we tried on his hats and I snapped some pictures.

Silly Boy!!

Sean is so funny. He makes us laugh all of the time and today was no different.

This am, Sean kept wanting a green car. I didn't know what he was talking about. He has a lot of cars and some are green, but everyone I gave him wasn't the right one. Then, he walked down the hallway to the guest room and said, "in here..green car is in the orange bowl". I kept saying, "no, there aren't any cars in there". Well, Kenny decided to bring Sean in the room and sure enough, Sean came out with a little green car that was filled with candy! The car was in an orange bowl that had been left over since Halloween! I keep that door closed and I rarely go in there, so we were amazed by his memory that he all of the sudden wanted that car and that he knew where it was.

Next, came a lot of Sean being Sean. Sean is full of energy and life and always wants to have a good time. He is also a master negotiator. For instance, while I was trying to get him to take a nap, he started making silly faces and would say, "one more time, okay" when I would try to get him to calm down and sleep. Next, in order to avoid the nap, he said that he wanted to "cut the grass". This means that he wants to take a car or tractor and roll it on the lawn. When, I said, not now, he said, "just for a little bit". My negotiator was at work. After that, he told me he was hungry. Well, he had just eaten lunch, but he said, "Mommy, my tummy's making noises. Can I have some cookies?". I just started to laugh and gave up. So, now there is no nap for today, but maybe an early bedtime? I can only hope!
