Bubble, Bubble, Toil and Trouble

such a cute face!!
where are those bubbles?

Sean had an extra day of school this week due to a scheduling conflict, so he's going three days this week. It's been strange for me. As much as, I need the time to run errands and do housework, I miss my little guy when he's not with me. I even picked him up a little early today.

Sean was hungry which always surprises me since he never eats and asked for lunch, since he never eats it at school. He ate his lunch and took a nap right away. He was in trouble, though. He was having a pretty good day according to Miss Christy, but when I picked him up, he slapped Peyton right in front of me, Miss Christy and Miss Vida. I made him apologize to Peyton and told him "no bike or cartoons today".

After his nap, we really needed an outlet for his energy, so to the backyard we went. I had just bought a large bottle of bubble juice to blow our bubbles and I set him down to let him pull the large wand. He had fun, but was a little upset when he pulled it too fast and no bubbles came. So, he knocked the bottle over. I picked it up before too much spilled and then it was back inside which didn't make him very happy. Everyone had a bad day and today was Sean's. On a brighter note, he ate all of his dinner and is now enjoying a green popsicle!

I love you, Sean Patrick. Tomorrow, will be a better day, baby!!

My Dream Come True

drinking his 1st rain water

playing in his sand before the rain

Today was a school day for Sean. When, I picked him up, his teacher asked if I could bring some underwear and extra clothes for him on Thursday, as they are going to attempt to get him to potty. I wish them the best of luck! The last time they put him on the potty, he cried and when I try to put him on, he tells me "no". I'll be a nervous wreck Thurs. morning.

After school, Sean took his nap and then when he woke up, I gave him our usual afternoon snack of popcorn. It's become a type of ritual with us and he loves it!

We went outside and watered "yellow", who is sprouting nicely, by the way and then we played with his moon sand. I noticed the sky was getting dark and was thinking how nice it would be if there was a light rain, so Sean and I could play in it, as we have never done this before. It did become very windy and I had Sean watch the leaves "dance" and I showed him how to put his arms out and spin in the wind. We blew some bubbles, but when the liquid got in his eyes because of the wind, we stopped and went inside.

After dinner, I noticed that God had answered my thoughts. It was raining and it was perfect! It was just heavy enough and there was no lightening. I grabbed the camera and we ran outside. I chased Sean around the yard and we laughed and laughed. Then, we went out front to jump in some puddles. I had always dreamed of doing this with my child, and I got to do it!! Kenny happened to pull up from work and he said it brought such a big smile to his face to see his son and wife having so much fun. Thank you, God for this wonderful day!

Outside Fun

"yellow"
just like Daddy coloring on my table

As is becoming usual, Sean asked me this morning, "mommy, what are we doing?". I had to laugh, again. He knows our routine now of staying on the go and always having activities.

The first thing we did was to ride his bike. He is getting much better on his "big boy" bike. I enjoy our conversations during his rides. He has been especially sweet, today. He waved to every passerby that we saw and when he fell off of the bike, he would say, "sorry, mommy". That broke my heart. I told him that it's not his fault that he fell. I think that's because I am always telling him to be careful.

Later, we headed to the store and I got him some more moon sand, an adorable "Cars" table for outdoors that has an umbrella and that you can color on, bubbles and a toy weed eater. I know that I overindulge him, but kept telling myself that we will use all of these because he loves to be outdoors so much.

He didn't play with the weed eater as much as I thought that he would. He loved the new table, especially the umbrella. I changed the solution in the hummingbird feeder and we are still hopeful that we'll see some. Sean watered "yellow" and of course, said, "all by myself" while he watered it and it is starting to sprout!! We played with the bubbles and I laughed as I watched my baby try to catch a dragonfly. He wants to hold a bird or bug, so badly. There was no nap, today, so he's a bit cranky, now. I had so much fun with him today. I love you, Sean!!!
